Belfast Design Week

The Brief

Belfast Design Week (BDW) is an annual programme of events which focus on Northern Ireland’s design sector. The

programme aims to provide opportunities for creatives at all levels to network and learn from one another, as well as

promote design to a general audience.

This brief asked the final year Graphic Design students to design

image-based poster, with the option of including type if you wish (one line max). The poster was focused in on one specific attraction or business within the Cathedral Quarter, that we find especially compelling.

I chose to develop mine based on curated kitchen in the Cathedral Quarter just opposite the Ulster University.  St Anne's Cathedral is at the heart of the Cathedral Quarter.  Curated Kitchen is located just across the step of St Anne's Cathedral.  A sepia edit is used on my own original photography to highlight the old city of Belfast. Lights from commercial court are used to show the fun side of the Cathedral Quarter.
